The 2016 CMA Awards will take time to laud this year’s awards winners, of course, but the show will also be about looking back at the awards’ 50-year history. In keeping with that theme, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will be performing a medley of some of country music’s most famous duets.
According to Taste of Country, Brooks shared the news about his and Yearwood’s performance at a press conference in Dallas on Thursday (Oct. 13). The husband and wife have yet to be officially announced as 2016 CMA Awards performers, however; thus far, only Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley have been revealed as performers for the show.
